In-Country Director/Accountant Guatemala

César is an experienced public accountant and auditor with a degree from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala. In addition to his active professional credentials, he brings experience in administration and teaching within economic and accounting sciences, giving him a strong foundation in finance and organizational management.


Over more than twenty years, César has served in key accounting roles for organizations including Asociación BPD (2008–2024) and Fundación Carroll Behrhorst (1999–2007). His work has included preparing financial statements, reviewing budget execution, managing donor reporting, overseeing program accounting, and developing annual and project budgets. He has also supervised income and expense controls, inventory, and accounts payable. Since 2011, he has taught Cost Accounting at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala.


César’s career reflects a steady commitment to strong financial practice and continued learning. His background across both nonprofit and private-sector settings, together with his interest in teaching, supports transparent and sustainable financial management.
