
John Weston
Retired CEO, Newbury Consulting Group
John earned degrees from UNH (’80) and the Tuck School at Dartmouth (’85). His career included work as a CFO, time in software sales, and executive roles at PeopleSoft from 1997 to 2005. As CEO of Newbury Consulting Group beginning in 2005, he founded, built, and later sold three technology consulting firms before retiring in 2021. He now applies his business experience to help nonprofit organizations in the US and Nicaragua with strategic planning, fundraising, and financial oversight.
Supporting the community of Tola, Nicaragua is a central focus for John and his wife, Jayne. John serves on boards or advisory councils for The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic, CREA, Buy Food With Plastic, and The Neo Fund. He is also the founder of the Los Cocos Community Organic Farm.
John has been traveling to Nicaragua regularly since 2003.
